Q:Are you developing that particular game on your own? I always thought it was easier to commit to work when you had someone else counting on you to finish, and to keep helping you generate fun ideas, to keep you talking about and excited about your project. Maybe that would be helpful to find, if you aren't already working with someone else on it?
Yes, I am developing it on my own. It is an exercise on all the skills required for game development, just as much as a test to see what areas of it I have the most affinity (like, for an example, I did find out I love developing game engines and graphical effects that don’t require artistic skills, but at the same time I mostly suck at anything related to sound & music. I also have a weak spot for code optimization). And while I did intend on develop it all on my own, I had all this time the support of ghRibacki, the person who actually got me into game development in the first place, just like friends did show interest in seeing how development was going.
I guess I’m just lazy, but talking about it has been doing a lot for my motivation, I must say. Thanks for the thoughts!
